  10. EZ EPSON (EZ) is a printer utility for MS-DOS that works with many Epson and
  11. compatible printers.  It was tested on a Raven PR-9101 in standard mode
  12. which emulates Epson models FX-86e/FX-800, and a Star NX-1000 in Epson
  13. LX-800 mode.

  15. EZ allows access to some of your printer's capabilities that are not
  16. available through use of the front panel switches.  Some EZ options
  17. duplicate those available on the panel, however, using EZ means less wear on
  18. the switches.

  20. One option I find useful is "Feed Paper" (/F), which allows for use of the
  21. Epson reverse line feed capability (not all Epson models have this feature).
  22. When you wish to remove a finished document from your printer, use the
  23. option to feed the paper ahead just enough to remove the document, and then
  24. reverse the paper so printing can resume on the following page - saves a lot
  25. of paper, or at least the trouble of manually winding the paper back and
  26. forth.  Printing at 8 lines per inch (/8) will also save paper.

  32. EZ Epson with any combination of command-line arguments may be run from
  33. MS-Windows.  Use the file called EZ.ICO for an icon.

  35. EZ EPSON is distributed as shareware, which means that it may be copied and
  36. freely distributed to others for evaluation purposes only.  If you find EZ
  37. EPSON useful and wish to continue using it beyond a 30-day evaluation
  38. period, we are trusting you to register your copy with Celista Software.

  41. using EZ EPSON.
